This photo is from October 2006, my parents and I went on a city break to Barcelona to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday. We stayed in a lovely hotel just off the Ramblas and spent just under a week exploring the beautiful city. I remember that it was very hot, and me being rather pale, I managed to get burnt even though I was applying A LOT of suncream. I loved viewing the city from the open top tour bus because we got to see a lot more of it than we would have been able to otherwise. I thought that Park Guell was the most beautiful relaxing place and was my favourite trip of the entire holiday. This particualar photo is of the Sagrada Familia taken from about half way up and was purely accidental but I love the way the spire has been framed by part of the window. Below is the layout I made with this photo. For each holiday I go on I like to make a mini-book, and then a layout to go in my main album as well because there is always too many photos to fit on even a double layout.
Thanks for stopping me and all of the lovely comments.
ooh, i love barcelona . . . sadly my camera died on my first day of sightseeing there :( love how u composed that shot, nice to see something different!
ReplyDeleteI recognised this as soon as I saw the photo! How funny, as it's such a different view. I do love that building - Gaudi was inspired! I would love to go to Barcelona and see all the gardens and architecture first-hand.
ReplyDeleteI like the wiggly edge at the bottom of the photo on the layout, with the ribbon, lace etc as well. It really grounds the photo, but makes it stand out too. Such a simple layout, but so effective.
